St. Mary’s Preschool in Oceanside, CA proudly offers an excellent child-centered curriculum, designed to promote spiritual, academic, and social growth through developmentally appropriate play. Our Preschool Staff

  • Preschool Teacher

    Rachel Keener is honored to serve as a preschool teacher at St. Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic School, guiding and nurturing the school’s 4-year-olds as they prepare for kindergarten. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes grace, loving care, consistency, and clear boundaries—an approach that fosters confidence, curiosity, and healthy habits for early learners.

    A proud Oceanside resident, Rachel is also a devoted mother and wife who brings warmth and enthusiasm to her work each day. She looks forward to a year filled with growth, discovery, and joyful moments with the children of St. Mary’s.

  • Preschool

    Alondra Rivera serves as a dedicated Preschool Assistant at St. Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic School. She brings kindness, reliability, and a genuine love for working with young children to the classroom each day. Alondra supports both students and teachers with patience, enthusiasm, and a joyful spirit, helping create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for all preschoolers.

  • Preschool Assistant Director

    Mr. William Fry, known to students as Mr. William, is honored to guide St. Mary’s preschoolers through a year of joyful growth and discovery. A Southern California native and longtime Oceanside resident, he has been part of the St. Mary Preschool community since early in his college years. Now in his sixth year of teaching and fourth year leading his own classroom, he holds an A.S. in Child Development from MiraCosta College and is continuing his studies toward a B.S. in Childhood and Adolescent Development. His teaching philosophy centers on play-based learning, ensuring every child experiences meaningful, engaging opportunities to grow academically, socially, and creatively.

    Mr. Fry’s classroom themes change monthly, often inspired by the children’s interests, and he maintains open communication with families to support each child’s unique goals. He provides a monthly newsletter highlighting classroom learning, activities, and important upcoming events. Dedicated, intentional, and enthusiastic, Mr. Fry looks forward to partnering with families throughout a fun and enriching school year. Reach out to Mr. Fry with any questions!

  • Preschool Director

    Patricia Corral serves as both the Preschool Director and a preschool teacher at St. Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic School. A lifelong Oceanside resident and parishioner of nearly 57 years, she and her family share deep ties to St. Mary, Star of the Sea. She, her brothers, and later her son all attended the elementary school. With two certificates in Early Childhood Education, Patricia has been a devoted member of the preschool staff for 24 years.

    She brings warmth, experience, and a genuine love for early learning to the classroom each day. Patricia finds joy in the honesty, curiosity, and humor of preschoolers, believing they make every moment meaningful. Outside of school, she enjoys sewing, bike riding, and taking long walks.
